Professor Philip Zimbardo

Professor Emeritus of Psychology, Stanford University

Professor Philip Zimbardo is a true pioneer of psychology. Alongside his world famous ‘Stanford Prison Experiment’ in 1971, he was previously president of the American Psychological Association and is now a Professor Emeritus of Stanford University. His study of human behaviour and wealth of experience make him one of the worlds leading speakers on human behaviour. After 50 years lecturing, Zimbardo retired from lecturing in 2008 – this will be one of his last ever lectures, an opportunity not to be missed

Professor Peter Kinderman

Professor of Clinical Psychology, University of Liverpool

Professor Peter Kinderman is the Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Liverpool, and former President of the British Psychological Society.
Peter is also an honorary Consultant Clinical Psychologist with Mersey Care NHS Trust, so possesses a wealth of experience and advocates a keen passion for supporting clients via psychological social solutions rather than prescribing medication.

Professor Sarah Niblock

Chief Executive, UK Council for Psychotherapy

Professor Sarah Niblock is Chief Executive of the UK Council for Psychotherapy. Sarah joined UKCP from the university sector where she was a professor and senior manager. With a PhD in psychoanalytic theory and popular culture, she is the author of several books and peer reviewed journal articles on ethics, media and methodology. Alongside this, she her work as a journalist, broadcaster and commentator on psychotherapy in the UK and globally.

Dr Andrew Rayner

Consultant Clinical Psychologist

Dr Andrew Rayner is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in private practice who specializes in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and difficulties related to trauma. He has spent most of his career working in the NHS within secondary care services and in recent years he has had the relatively unique experience of providing psychological support during a large scale historical abuse investigation.

He currently provides training and participates in clinical research on behalf of The Compassionate Mind Foundation.  He also works for Aspire Health and Care Ltd (providing input to young people and adults residing in supported living placements) and directs his own company Secure Base Psychological Services Ltd.
